Tracky
about.
As people age, memory loss can make daily life more difficult, especially when they frequently misplace essential items. TRACKY is a smart home system designed to help older adults keep track of their belongings using RFID technology. Stickers on items and readers at doorways record item locations, which can be viewed at any time on a central smart panel.
story.
My 87-year-old grandma Yougen has recently experienced memory loss and slow response. She often forgets to take her medication or where she places things.
One day, she couldn’t find the key to her locked cabinet and accused my granddad Neng of taking it. They argued, and later, she found the key in her own pocket and felt deeply sorry. This has caused great troubles in her daily life. So I hope to be able to design a system that can help her live more conveniently.
