OACS

about.

As China’s population continues to age, the younger generation faces increasing retirement pressure. OACS proposes a future-oriented retirement assessment system that encourages early preparation. It generates a Support Ability Certificate, which serves as a metric of one’s social influence, motivating individuals to enhance their competitiveness in society.

story.

As MR (Mixed Reality) technology becomes embedded in daily life, the government launches OACS to address the aging crisis. Through MR devices, individuals can view their personal support scores, which influence social behavior and status.

By logging into OACS Online, users input their personal and physical data to receive future life projections and training advice. They then visit an OACS Gym to enhance specific skills. Each training session is rated, and repeated practice improves support ability. Scores can be re-embedded into online platforms, shaping one’s social competitiveness and future opportunities.

detail.

Social Needs

  • Reduce anxiety about aging and retirement

  • Make long-term preparation feel actionable and rewarding

  • Visualize and track one’s value and contributions beyond income

  • Motivate younger generations to participate in aging society solutions

System Flow: User → Assessment & Participation → Support Ability Score → Certificate Issuance → Social Recognition & Opportunities

Key Features

  • A Support Ability Certificate that quantifies an individual’s capacity to support future aging (social capital, skills, empathy, etc.)

  • Dynamic scoring system based on social engagement, knowledge, and personal planning

  • Gamified interface to track growth and encourage participation

  • Integration with potential future platforms: job markets, care networks, or community rewards

  • Encourages early intergenerational collaboration and long-term retirement awareness

Strategic Thinking

  • Addressed China’s intensifying aging crisis by proposing a proactive system that reframes aging as a shared social investment

  • Combined social metrics + future planning tools to build a sense of agency and reduce passive anxiety

  • Developed a future scenario model informed by demographic data, policy trends, and speculative design methods

  • Positioned the certificate as a cultural shift, turning “support” into a recognized, trackable asset that reshapes how society values care, empathy, and collaboration

  • Created a narrative system to engage Gen Z and Millennials early, embedding retirement thinking into career and lifestyle planning
