CHESSHUB
about.
CHESSHUB is a co-living space for Gen Z, blending shared living with community and creativity. Inspired by The Queen’s Gambit, it encourages a borderless mindset and meaningful connection. It is more than a home. It is a hub for collaboration and growth.
story.
In the fast-moving rhythm of the city, young people often find themselves living alone in crowded spaces, disconnected from those around them.
CHESSHUB offers a new possibility. Like the heroine in The Queen’s Gambit, residents are invited to step out of isolation, take bold moves, and explore life with others. Here, strangers meet, ideas collide, and a shared space becomes a place to grow.
detail.
Dual-Core Circulation: Connecting Life and Community
The spatial layout is organized into two vertical zones:
1F–2F: Public Activity Zone — Includes café, gym, exhibition space, and recreational areas to foster spontaneous social interaction.
3F–5F: Residential Loft Zone — Loft apartments offer private living spaces that connect vertically to public zones, encouraging balance between solitude and engagement.
This separation and connection strategy encourages residents to step beyond isolated living and into community participation.
Social Activation Nodes
The space includes multiple strategic interaction points:
Café & Reading Area — Low-barrier, daily-use zones to encourage casual encounters.
Game & Screening Rooms — Designed for intentional gatherings and shared experiences.
Roof Garden & Outdoor Yoga Zone — Promote holistic well-being and informal connection to nature.
These zones form a spatial rhythm that supports emotional bonding and daily rituals.
Multi-Functional Flexibility
Areas such as the exhibition, café, and fitness zones are designed for programmatic flexibility—supporting co-working in the morning, events in the evening, and informal lounging in between. This adaptability boosts operational sustainability and program richness.
Digital + Physical Ecosystem
CHESSHUB is envisioned as a hybrid platform:
Residents can use an app to book shared facilities, join events, or engage with others in the community.
The app extends the physical space into a digital ecosystem, creating continuity in experience and communication.
